Experienced Health & Safety Advisor required to join a leading contractor for the delivery of multiple framework schemes continuing for the next five years across the Southwest, including Bristol, Somerset, Wiltshire & Hampshire. These are negotiated projects for key clients with a good pipeline of future works in the area.
Reporting to the Regional Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Manager and working with the Site teams, you will be responsible for the management of the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality systems from pre-construction phase through to handover.
This Health & Safety Advisor role will involve regular client liaison, SHEQ Guidance and provision to site teams and delivering support at bid & tender stage for the pre-construction team. As well as carrying out risk assessments, method statements and CDM plans, you will be responsible for implementing development of the business SHEQ material and training.
As Health & Safety Advisor you will assist your projects as SHEQ support, holding ultimate responsibility for the health & safety standards throughout sites and working alongside the health & safety team.
This Health & Safety Advisor role is with a busy contractor group, with a turnover in excess of £200m, and secured workload in the Leisure, Retail & Education sector, etc. Projects range in size from the smallest being £10m up to £150M in value.
You will be an experienced Health & Safety Advisor with a proven track record within an established main contracting organisation, demonstrating the ability to deliver similar value schemes.
