About the role
We are now recruiting for a National Account Manager – Lidl & Aldi (Beer) which will be responsible for both brand and private label. Leading the negotiations and the development of specific strategic and tactical plans that deliver on company volume, profit and market share targets.
Role Responsibilities
* Develop customer‑specific strategic and tactical plans to drive revenue, market share, and channel growth.
* Build and negotiate outlet‑level execution plans that deliver strong commercial results.
* Lead point‑of‑purchase activation and collaborate with Planning & Execution teams to optimise activity calendars.
* Manage price‑change processes, including customer communication and objection handling.
* Partner with Logistics to ensure accurate forecasting and support reliable business planning.
* Drive a proactive customer contact strategy to identify and convert new business opportunities.
* Lead structured, insight‑driven customer meetings and set best‑practice standards for the team.
* Monitor account performance, address risks, and implement corrective actions to maximise results.
* Own full P&L accountability for your accounts, optimising investment and budget spend for strong ROI.
* Use CRM tools (e.g., Xtel, Anaplan, Promax) to manage activity, reporting, and performance visibility.
Experience and Key Attributes
* Previous experience in a similar role and within an FMCG business is preferred.
* Inspiring, influential communicator with strong commercial acumen.
* Skilled in building compelling propositions and converting them into actionable account and execution plans.
* Confident managing P&L, forecasting volume and profit, and analysing performance.
* Strong selling, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
* Effective influencer who can both challenge and be challenged constructively.
* Highly organised with excellent planning and time‑management skills.
* Experienced in managing trade investment budgets.
