The Role:
1. Financial Recordkeeping: Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
2. Invoice Processing: Process invoices, credit card transactions, and other financial documents promptly and accurately, ensuring compliance with organisational policies.
3. Data Entry: Input financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets, such as transactions, journal entries, and adjustments.
4. Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, supplier statements, and other financial accounts for accuracy and completeness.
5. Support for Budgeting: Assist in gathering financial data and providing administrative support during the budgeting process.
6. Communication: Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, including finance team members and other departments, to address inquiries and facilitate smooth workflow.
7. Administrative Tasks: Perform duties such as filing documents, organising financial records, and managing office and building-related responsibilities.
8. Compliance: Support compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements, including assisting during audit processes.
Candidate Profile:
We seek candidates with experience in an accounts or finance role, familiar with the duties outlined above. The position is initially temporary with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Details:
* Working days: Monday to Friday, during standard office hours
* Pay rate: £13.00 - £13.95 per hour
* Benefits: 28 days holiday including bank holidays, increasing to 31 with service, plus an extra day off for your birthday
