Role Overview
DUAL is seeking a Senior Data Engineer who can proactively collaborate with key business stakeholders and IT to deliver solutions that meet their needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Microsoft SQL and ETL practices.
The successful candidate should have experience working in a fast-paced, agile, and dynamic environment, preferably within an MGA or insurance carrier.
Role Responsibilities
* Deliver data solutions and implement changes for DUAL.
* Build data solutions to address evolving requirements, managing new requests and incidents.
* Resolve complex data problems and support issues.
* Assess the impact of changes on DUAL's data model to prevent potential issues.
* Consult with business analysts, architects, developers, and system owners.
* Collaborate closely with the MI team to ensure accurate data representation in dashboards and reports.
* Develop knowledge and expertise in DUAL systems.
* Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Requirements
* Over 10 years of extensive SQL and ETL knowledge.
* Expertise in MS-SQL Server, TSQL, ADF, Azure Databricks, Python, Data Lake.
* Experience in Insurance MI or reporting.
* Nice to have: Data Warehouse, PowerShell, DevOps, Advanced Excel, Power Query, CI/CD.
* Ability to work efficiently, quickly, and systematically.
* Strong team player with confidence in their abilities.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills.
* Proactively share best practices across the organization.
* Active listening skills with the strength of character to challenge when necessary.
* Strong planning, organizing, and prioritization skills.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in an insurance MGA or carrier environment.
* Good understanding of Insurance Operations, Credit Control, and Finance.
