We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated SEN Sports Coach to work at a school in Heywood. This is a full‑time role supporting pupils with special educational needs through sport, physical activity and structured engagement throughout the school day. The successful candidate will use sport and physical activity to help pupils build confidence, develop teamwork skills and positively engage in school life. You will work closely with teaching staff and support teams to deliver activities that support both physical development and positive behaviour.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging sports and physical activity sessions for pupils with SEN.
* Support pupils in developing confidence, teamwork and social skills through sport.
* Help manage behaviour positively through structured activities and routines.
* Work alongside teachers and teaching assistants to support pupils during lessons and activities.
* Encourage participation, inclusion and a positive attitude towards physical activity.
* Provide support for pupils who may need additional encouragement or guidance during the school day.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEN.
* A background in sport, coaching, youth work or physical education.
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
* A patient, energetic and positive approach.
* A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed.
Pay & Hours
* £102 per day.
* Full‑time hours (8:30am – 3:30pm).
