Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Painter to join our team, responsible for applying paint and finishes to various surfaces in the workshop. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good understanding of spray painting techniques, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills within the painting trade while contributing to high-quality projects.
Responsibilities
* Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas to ensure proper paint adhesion.
* Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and attention to detail.
* Ensure all work complies with safety standards and project specifications.
* Mix paints and colours as required, ensuring consistency and quality in application.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including proper disposal of waste materials.
* Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project progress and any issues encountered.
* Assist with surface repairs or minor carpentry tasks as needed to facilitate painting work.
* Assist with other workshop duties whenever sprayshop is quiet.
Requirements
* Experience in spray painting or related trades is preferred.
* Valid driving licence is desirable.
* Good command of English language for clear communication with team members and clients.
* Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate tasks and report progress.
* Organised with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes on all surfaces.
* Willingness to learn new techniques and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.58-£23.25 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
