Responsibilities
* Assist the Senior Site Chemist and the Site Manager in the execution of the day‑to‑day operations of the site including the supervision of operatives as required.
* Sample and analyse all materials destined for on‑site treatment, performing compatibility testing and generating written instructions for site personnel.
* Perform daily inspections of the transfer area, highlight (and where appropriate remedy) and report potential breaches of permit or safe working conditions.
* Cooperate with site management to ensure that site personnel, contractors and visitors comply with the site rules.
* Perform sampling and verification of incoming waste chemicals and raise non‑conformance reports as required.
Qualifications
* Minimum of an HNC or Degree qualification in Chemistry or a relevant science degree.
* Ability to overcome problems and find solutions independently.
* Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
* Numerate, literate and computer literate.

Salary, Hours and Locations
Salary: £27,000 - £33,000 per annum depending on role and experience plus Veolia benefits. Hours: Monday – Friday (40 hours per week). Locations: Durham, Sheffield, Hampshire, Lancashire, Liverpool.
