Health & Safety ManagerMilton Keynes£49,950Monday – Friday full-time hours. We’re looking for a Health & Safety Manager to lead and shape safety strategy across complex projects and environments for a client based in Milton Keynes. In this role, you’ll ensure compliance, drive best practices, and support teams in delivering safe and effective solutions—both in the UK and internationally.Key Duties:
* Develop and implement FCDO Services Health & Safety (H&S) policies and procedures, delivering compliant and practical advice across all operations.
* Conduct structured audits and inspections to monitor policy compliance, enforce procedures, and support continuous improvement.
* Apply professional judgement to deliver safe, effective solutions across complex international projects, ensuring robust risk control in design and delivery.
* Operate independently, advising senior management, delivery teams, and contractors on safety management system compliance and risk reduction.
* Serve as the H&S business partner for FCDO Services, supporting core operations and corporate functions.
* Lead H&S compliance in projects, ensuring adherence to CDM 2015 throughout design and construction phases.
* Oversee H&S across estates management and logistics operations.
* Build strong working relationships with Trade Union Safety Representatives, safety coordinators, and key internal stakeholders.
* Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Commercial Bid teams, Procurement, and Logistics to align safety standards.
* Advise regional management on risk management at overseas Posts.
* Maintain effective partnerships with H&S professionals in construction contractor organisations.
The Ideal Candidate:Essential:
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
* Experience managing H&S in multi-site, multi-discipline environments.
* Working towards a Diploma in OSH (or equivalent).
* Strategic and forward thinking.
* Strong collaboration & stakeholder management.
* Delivering a high-quality service with a proactive mindset.
Desirable:
* Diploma in OSH (or equivalent).
* Graduate or Chartered IOSH Membership.
* Experience with ISO45001, global operations, and team leadership.
