Project Manager – Groundworks & Civil Engineering
Location: London & Surrounding Areas (Woking, Croydon, Chigwell, Dartford, and nearby sites)
Start Date: ASAP
We are an established and reputable groundworks and civil engineering contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver multiple projects across London and the surrounding areas, including Woking, Croydon, Chigwell, and Dartford. This role offers an immediate start and ongoing work on a range of challenging and high-quality schemes.
Role & Responsibilities:

Full responsibility for the management and delivery of groundworks and civil engineering projects from start to completion
*
Planning, programming, and coordinating works to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
*
Managing site teams including Site Managers, Foremen, engineers, and subcontractors
*
Liaising with clients, consultants, and main contractors to maintain strong working relationships
*
Ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation, company procedures, and project-specific requirements
*
Monitoring progress, quality, and costs, producing reports as required
*
Managing procurement of materials, plant, and subcontract services
*
Identifying and resolving technical and commercial issues as they arise
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Project Manager within groundworks and civil engineering
*
Strong understanding of groundwork packages including drainage, roads, utilities, foundations, and external works
*
Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
*
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
*
SMSTS qualification required
*
CSCS card required
*
First Aid qualification preferred
*
Commercial awareness and experience working to programmes and budgets
