Job Summary
We are seeking a young enthusiastic chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a chef de partie you will play an essential role in meal preparation and food preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of excellence. You will work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, collaborating with fellow kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
* Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
* Assist in the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen area
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages as needed
* Maintain a clean and organised workstation throughout the shift
* Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred
* Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is preferred
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
* Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
* A passion for cooking and creating high-quality meals
