Vacancy: Home Visits (Domiciliary) Optical Assistant
Monday to Friday: 9 am – 6 pm (flexibility required)
Salary scale: £26,852 – £28,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Benefits: Car allowance of £3,000 per annum. Bonus scheme based on sales made, on top of basic salary.
We cover the following postcodes: NW2, NW4, NW7, NW9, HA0, HA3, HA7, HA8, HA9. Candidates should be based in one of these areas.
You must be a confident driver, hold a full clean UK driving licence, have access to your own vehicle and be a real people person. Preferably you have an optical, care or healthcare background. You must be physically able to carry and set up our equipment in each clinic multiple times per day.
We are seeking a highly motivated, friendly and reliable Domiciliary Optical Assistant to support our customers and clinical team. The ideal candidate will have previous optical experience and be able to dispense at all levels, measure and fit (although not essential). We need someone with the right attitude, personality and drive to work hard.
On a daily basis you will:
* Carry out clinics and deliver glasses to patients in their homes and in some care home settings.
* Work independently, taking initiative and providing a professional service.
* Engage customers with a kind and friendly demeanour.
Required qualifications and skills:
* Previous experience in a fast‑paced customer‑facing environment.
* Experience in an optical environment.
* Basic knowledge of optical dispensing.
* Confidence using new systems, tablets or laptops.
* Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Additional desirable experience that could set you apart from the competition.
