What you’ll be doing day to day
Providing health advice through focused conversations with patients, offering clear and accurate answers.
Your duties will include:
1. Tailoring conversations to ensure customers leave feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
2. Handling technical dispensary tasks such as ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions, ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
3. Complying with legal and professional standards in Boots.
4. Engaging with GPs and practice teams to promote services and products.
5. Ensuring efficient dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing losses.
What you’ll need to have
We offer an exciting career opportunity. You should have an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services and prior experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser.
Additionally, you need a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent. If not completed, we will support your training within 6 months of joining.
If interested in career progression, we support obtaining NVQ Level 3 (QCF) in Pharmacy Services to register with GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician, potentially leading to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role. Your pay and benefits will reflect your qualifications and roles as you develop your healthcare knowledge.
