Apprentice Theatre Technician (Royal Spa Centre)
37 hours per week - 24 Month Fixed Term Contract
Point 1 - £15,194 a year – initial salary for all new starters for the first 12 months of the apprenticeship.
Progression of pay after 12 months are complete as follows:
Point 2 - £20,136 a year - completed 12 months and aged 18 – 20
Point 3 - £24,577 a year - completed 12 months and aged 21+
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to be based at the Royal Spa Centre, a vibrant and well-respected cultural venue in the heart of Royal Leamington Spa.
This is an opportunity to study for a Creative Venue Technician Standard Apprenticeship - Level 3
The Role
You will be part of a small team of people and to assist the Technical and Facilities Manager, and the Technical Supervisor in the delivery of all technical requirements across its three venues. As the Apprentice Theatre Technician, you will work with the rest of the team as they support our diverse range of incoming shows, run cinema screenings, and contribute to the day-to-day running of the department and its assets.
Key Requirements: -
* An interest in working in the technical department of a live performance venue
* A basic understanding of performance techniques and technical theatre processes
* Willingness to learn
* Knowledge and passion for the arts
* Able to show initiative and proactive approach
* Commitment to customer care
* Some previous experience of being part of a team, through sport, social activities or other interests
* Adaptability
* Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
* Attention to detail

This post is based in Royal Spa Centre and is not suitable for home or hybrid working.
The Role is based at The Royal Spa Centre with staff, on occasion, being deployed to facilitate events at the Town Hall and Leamington Art Gallery & Museum, to support a wide variety of events and openings throughout the year.
