Your New RoleWe are seeking to appoint a motivated and knowledgeable Teacher of Digital Literacy and IT to join a dedicated academic team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching in advanced digital and IT skills, alongside contributing to the ongoing development of the curriculum to reflect current industry practices. You will also take on personal tutor responsibilities, providing both academic guidance and pastoral support to a designated student group.
What You'll Need to SucceedEssential:
1. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
2. Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
3. Excellentmunication and presentation skills
4. Ability to conveyplex information in a clear, engaging manner
5. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
6. A proactive and adaptable approach to work
Desirable:
7. Previous teaching, training, or coaching experience within IT or digital skills
8. Interest in emerging technologies, including AI
9. Experience facilitating group learning or contributing to curriculum development

Key Responsibilities
10. Deliver engaging and structured lessons in digital literacy and advanced IT skills
11. Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching resources
12. Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
13. Maintain accurate records of attendance, attainment, and student engagement
14. Act as a personal tutor, supporting students academically and pastorally
15. Contribute to curriculum development to ensure alignment with industry needs
16. Participate in staff meetings, training, and wider organisational activities
