The Role Based in Scotland as our IT Assessor you will carry out on-site & in-house Apprenticeship assessments for the City & Guilds assignments, mentoring and coaching our apprentices in work placements and/or employment to ensure completion of the mandatory units. You will have input into the Apprenticeship curriculum to ensure our learners have the correct knowledge and understanding required. You will also be required to deliver selected modules of the curriculum for our young (16-18 years). About The Role This exciting and unique role will put your skills into practice by educating and developing our apprentices to better understand their areas of specialisation. Working with the Head of Apprenticeship Learning to achieve agreed volumes of learner achievement in line with the business strategy and plans, you will carry out high quality mentoring and coaching to employed and/or work placement apprentices to ensure City and Guilds units are completed within agreed time lines. You will be required to travel and complete assessment of all related City and Guilds assignments, covering in-centre, work placements and employed Apprentices and work with the tutorial team to ensure all Apprentices have the required skills and knowledge, prior to work placement/employment, to successfully achieve the mandatory City and Guilds units. Your Skills & Experience Demonstrable Assessor and IT Support Skills Knowledge of the ICT Professional Competence Apprenticeship frameworks is desirable Excellent communication skills Ability to motivate and coach Apprentices to achieve Previous experience of working with 16 to 18 year olds A recognised teaching qualification, or a commitment to achieving a Certificate or Diploma in teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector A1 Assessors Award V1 Verifiers Award GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English at grade C or above
