Location: BD12
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Ready to make a real difference where it’s needed most?
We’re working with a primary school in BD12 looking for a confident and compassionate KS1 teacher to take on a mixed Year 1/2 class full-time. This is a class with a high level of SEND and some challenging behaviour, so they need someone calm, consistent and genuinely invested in helping every child succeed.
This isn’t a “sit back and cruise” role. It’s a roll-up-your-sleeves, build-relationships, celebrate-the-small-wins kind of classroom. And when it clicks, it’s magic.
What you’ll be stepping into:
1. A mixed Year 1/2 class with varied learning needs
2. Strong focus on SEND support and inclusive practice
3. A school that knows consistency and structure matter
4. Support from SLT who understand the realities of the classroom
We’re looking for someone who:
5. Holds UK QTS
6. Has experience in KS1, ideally with mixed year groups
7. Is confident managing behaviour in a nurturing, firm but fair way
8. Brings patience, resilience and a good sense of humour
If you’ve worked with children who need a little extra support, and you’re the kind of teacher who sees beyond the behaviour and into the potential, this could be a brilliant fit.
