Systems Design Engineer - Embedded Computing – Wokingham

Not every engineering role gives you ownership from concept to production. This one does.
We’re looking for a Systems Design Engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, integrating electronics, embedded computing and mechanical design into robust real-world products.
You’ll work across the full lifecycle, from early concept and customer specification through to testing, compliance and production. It’s a hands-on engineering role where your ideas actually make it into finished systems.
Working with internal engineering teams, suppliers and customers, you’ll help deliver custom embedded computing solutions used in demanding industrial and defence environments.
What you’ll be doing
* Designing and integrating embedded computing systems
* Supporting projects from specification through to production
* Electronic circuit design and component selection
* Working with EMC, environmental and safety testing standards
* Supporting technical discussions with customers and suppliers
What we’re looking for
* Electronics or systems engineering background
* Experience with electronic design, system integration or embedded computing
* Understanding of PCB design, testing or compliance standards (EMC / environmental)
* Someone who enjoys solving engineering problems and delivering real systems
