What You Will Do
* Manage an active portfolio of commercial customers along the M4 corridor west*
* Maintain and grow a portfolio of SME customers through account management and promotion of Metro Bank's relationship banking and products
* Make lending decisions supporting Metro Bank’s business objectives while ensuring operational processes are followed correctly
* Build relationships with internal stakeholders
* Maximize customer relationships while ensuring compliance and adherence to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)
* Be responsible for credit risk and financial crime risk within your portfolio
* Support retail colleagues in local stores to generate new business and achieve results
* Work remotely from home, developing and maintaining a local SME customer portfolio in areas including Cardiff, Bristol, Swindon, etc. If you live or work in these areas and have relevant experience, we encourage you to apply!

What You Will Need
* Experience managing a portfolio of SME banking customers, including supporting business growth within a financial services environment
* Knowledge of commercial banking and ability to prepare credit papers
* Proven portfolio and relationship management experience with a track record of growth
* Excellent communication skills and a passion for relationship-led banking
* Proactive attitude to meet and exceed role objectives
* Ability to build rapport internally and externally
* Awareness of financial crime and compliance standards
* Understanding of job-related risks and their implications for stakeholders
