Mechanical Inspector
Location: Near Maidenhead (commutable from Reading, Slough, High Wycombe, Bracknell)
Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 + Overtime + Benefits
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Quality Inspector Duties
* Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections
* Carry out dimensional and visual inspections of precision components
* Use measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs
* Inspect parts against engineering drawings and specifications
* Complete inspection reports, NCRs, and quality documentation
* Identify and manage non-conforming products
* Maintain traceability and inspection records
* Support root cause investigations and corrective actions
* Assist with ISO9001 / AS9100 quality compliance activities
* Communicate quality issues with production and engineering teams
* Participate in continuous improvement and Lean initiatives
What they’re looking for
Essential:
* Previous Quality Inspection experience within engineering or manufacturing
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
* Experienced using precision measuring equipment
* Strong understanding of inspection and quality processes
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Good communication and reporting skills
* Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
Desirable:
* Experience in aerospace, motorsport, or precision engineering environments
* CMM operation or programming experience
* Knowledge of ISO9001 / AS9100 standards
* Experience producing FAIRs to AS9102 standards
* Understanding of Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma
* Exposure to NDT methods (e.g. MPI, Nital Etch)
