Job Role: Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Builder/Fitter
Working Pattern: 4 day week - Monday to Thursday: 7am to 5.30pm (40hrs per week)

The Role: We wish to appoint a heavy vehicle mechanical builder/fitter. The person will have strong experience and knowledge in hydraulics. This role will go beyond the standard mechanical fitter role, it is therefore an excellent career development opportunity. The person will be required to work alongside the design engineers to build bespoke components to fit our equipment.

Desirable Skills & Knowledge:
* 5+ years with Heavy Diesel, hydraulic and/or Electrical experience
* Proven experience working in a manufacturing environment or working for OEM’s
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
* Mobile equipment experience
* Drivers licence
* Gantry crane licence
* Forklift licence
* Rigging mechanical experience
* Ability to work at heights
Duties will involve:
- Reading and understanding project work plans and assembly instructions
- Assembling machinery to a high standard
- Taking part in product development meetings
- Ensuring all required parts for assembly are available
- Ensuring quality control standards are met
- Maintaining a production schedule
- Testing products for their functionality
- Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot and stress test products
- Adhering to assembly safety standards
- Collaborating with the engineering team to assist with design and build of components
- Comply with ISO standards and manufacturing processes
- Ensure engineering best practice is adhered to and relevant documentation completed
- Work closely with the Workshop Manager to ensure manufacturing processes are met
- Have the ability to build from basic sketches for prototypes, if required.
