Clinical Nurse Specialist - Intensive Home Treatment Team

The closing date is 05 March 2026

Are you driven to improve the care and experience of children and young people (CYP) who access mental health services? Are you looking for an opportunity to play a pivotal role in CYP's mental health journeys? We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Intensive Home Treatment Team.

In recent years and in particular following the Covid-19 pandemic, CYP have experienced a significant impact on their emotional and mental health needs and the number of CYP accessing Crisis services has increased.

You will be joining our new Intensive Home Treatment Team (IHTT), a team of nurses providing intensive community support to CYP as an alternative to hospital admission and, where an acute hospital admission is required, you will support the CYP and their family/carer, working in collaboration with colleagues in CAMHS, across the UHB and local authority to ensure their needs are met.

The post holder will have experience working with CYP who present with complex, high risk behaviours. They will work with a team of multidisciplinary professionals to deliver a high quality service to children and young people presenting with moderate to severe mental health difficulties within the Cardiff and Vale locality.
