Location: Carlisle, office-based
Salary: £36,000 basic + OTE up to £56,000
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
NXT Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a well-established and growing professional services business in Carlisle to recruit an Internal Recruitment Manager. This is a senior, high-impact role ideal for someone commercially minded, ambitious, and looking to lead recruitment for a fast-growing team of self-employed professionals, particularly within financial services.
As the Internal Recruitment Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end recruitment, working closely with Directors and internal teams to attract top-tier candidates who meet exacting professional and regulatory standards. Your role will combine strategic oversight with hands-on recruitment, giving you the chance to shape processes, drive results, and have a real influence on the businesss growth.

Key responsibilities:
Lead recruitment campaigns for self-employed professionals, including experienced Financial Advisers
Proactively source, engage, and interview high-caliber candidates directly
Work to ambitious annual recruitment targets set by the Directors
Assess candidates for professional competence, commercial fit, and regulatory compliance
Build strong relationships with internal teams, external recruitment partners, and brokers
Support new joiners through onboarding and compliance preparation
Monitor recruitment performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive process enhancements
Produce recruitment insights and action plans that support ongoing business growth
About you:
Proven experience in recruitment, ideally within professional services or regulated sectors
Comfortable recruiting senior or self-employed professionals, particularly in financial services
Strong commercial awareness with a focus on results and quality hires
Confident influencing and communicating with Directors and senior leaders
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneously
Strong sales approach to recruitment, able to attract and convert high-value candidates
Knowledge of financial services, advisory markets, or regulated recruitment is highly desirable
Whats on offer:
