Are you a strategic leader with a passion for operational excellence and transformational change? Ipsen is seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Director to lead our site’s engineering function, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and compliance across all infrastructure and systems.
As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you’ll drive innovation, lead a high-performing team, and be the primary interface between our global engineering function and the Wrexham site.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and develop a skilled maintenance and reliability team to meet current and future operational demands.
* Champion structured maintenance systems (e.g. TPM, Reliability Maintenance) to minimise downtime and maximise system availability.
* Ensure EHS compliance and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
* Drive continuous improvement and implement best practices through benchmarking and performance metrics.
* Oversee infrastructure validation and manage annual shutdowns with minimal business disruption.
* Support infrastructure investments from a M&R perspective through maintenance user requirements, calibration, validation, and training input.
Knowledge, skills and experience
* Significant experience in a Director level position from the pharmaceutical industry, preferably on an FDA approved site.
* Natural leader with the ability to motivate, influence and transform.
* Experience leading large teams of 30+ and managing complex projects.
