Location: London, waterside (3 days in-office per week, with flexibility)
Contract ended: upto 12 months
Travel: Required as per business needs
Hours: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours a week)
Rate: £400-500 per day through UMBRELLA (Inside IR35)
Job purpose:
We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing and contracting for ground handling services and global lounge operations. This role demands a strong commercial mindset, exceptional negotiation skills, and a proven track record of delivering cost savings. The ideal candidate will be deeply involved in executing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, and driving transformation initiatives within the airline or travel services sector.
What You’ll Do:
* Lead end-to-end procurement activities for ground handling and lounge services globally.
* Conduct in-depth commercial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Own and drive the full contracting process, including vendor engagement, negotiations, and drafting.
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including finance, operations, and legal.
* Deliver measurable cost savings and value through strategic sourcing initiatives.
* Support transformation projects related to lounge services.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
* Provide hands-on support and execution – not just oversight or direction.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in procurement, especially in contract negotiation and vendor management.
* Strong track record of cost savings delivery with clear examples.
* Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts independently.
* Hands-on, execution-focused approach – not just strategic oversight.
* Strong financial acumen and ability to support finance-related decisions.
* Previous experience managing or leading teams.
* Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and open to travel.
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience in the airline industry or airport lounge operations.
* Background in ground handling services is a significant advantage.
* Exposure to transformation or change management projects
