Overview
* Providing site-based design front line support to the Commissioning teams.
* Delivering, supporting the delivery of others and checking detailed designs/changes to meet functional and business needs.
* The implementation, testing and commissioning of the detailed designs/changes is undertaken by other dedicated site-based teams, hence is outside the scope of this role.
Essential:
Academic Qualification: Minimum - HND
Professional Qualification: Minimum - Incorporated Engineer
Security Clearance: SC
Hours: 37 hours over 4½ days a week
Location: Cumbria (3 days onsite per week minimum), 1 day onsite in Warrington per month
Experience:
* Minimum 5 years successfully delivering as a CE&I Senior Design Engineer:
* Working on external multidiscipline projects,
* Providing site-based front line design support to a Commissioning team,
* Delivering, supporting the delivery of others and checking detailed designs/changes,
* With a working understanding of the following external Standards for:
* PES based Control Systems
* Process Instruments
* Effective problem solving, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information to other team members/disciplines
* Willingness to support early career Engineers
Desirable:
* Experience: Minimum 7 years successfully delivering as a CE&I Senior Design Engineer:
* working on external and/or SL multidiscipline projects,
* providing site-based front line design support to a Commissioning team,
* delivering, supporting the delivery of others and checking detailed designs/changes,
* with a working understanding of the following SL Engineering Standards for:
* PES based Control Systems
* Process Instruments
