You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving electrical services while supporting other building services when required.
The Role You’ll be responsible for electrical maintenance, fault-finding, inspection and testing, and compliance across client sites.
This mobile role requires flexibility, occasional work outside standard hours, and the ability to support wider building services, including mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks where needed. Accurate reporting, documentation, and client communication are key elements of this position.
Key Duties
Planned, reactive, and statutory electrical maintenance on lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, fire alarm interfaces, and control systems
Inspection and testing: EICR, PAT, and statutory inspections in line with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
Diagnose, isolate, and repair electrical faults
Support small installation works, upgrades, and modifications
Complete all electrical certification and reporting accurately
Assist with multi-skilled support when required (mechanical, plumbing, HVAC)
Respond promptly to electrical emergencies
Maintain accurate documentation including EICRs, PAT records, and remedial reports
Provide professional client updates and advice
Follow and champion health and safety practices and electrical regulations Requirements
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent
Full UK driving licence
Proven experience in electrical maintenance across commercial or residential sites
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Ability to interpret electrical drawings and manuals
Clear communication and reporting skills
IT literate and able to use mobile job management systems
