Job Description
SDUK's brands include the nation's favourite cheese brand Cathedral City, along with other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients, and dairy-free products.
Due to a secondment to focus on the further expansion of operations at our Nuneaton site, a role has become available on a fixed-term basis to manage the materials flows into the site for core business and product pipeline. You will ensure robust stock holding policies, minimize stock write-offs, and utilize your MRP experience to support stock management for 10 production lines, delivering 10k tonnes of cheese across approximately 100 SKUs.
As a strong communicator, you'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, with additional exposure to NPD projects and artwork changes.
Working pattern:
* M-F (on-site)
* 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC)
Key responsibilities:
1. Manage stock levels and minimize material write-offs, reporting on delisting and obsolete stock.
2. Work towards achieving 100% service level for the site and cost-effective material stock levels.
3. Support project delivery from a materials perspective from Gate 0 to Gate 3.
4. Assist with material and product changes, collaborating with teams to meet project timelines and budgets.
5. Build and maintain supplier relationships, chase overdue POs, and handle invoice queries.
6. Monitor supplier performance monthly against KPIs.
Ideal candidate:
* Experience in a materials or supply chain management role, preferably with packaging materials.
* Ability to present findings logically and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
* Experience in challenging and supporting supply chain challenges.
* Comfortable with MRP systems (Excel, Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, etc.).
