Aviva Studios is Manchester's landmark cultural space and the home of Factory International - a global destination for arts, music, and creativity.
This festive season, our café will play a crucial part in Aviva Studios' Winter Events Programme, welcoming visitors to Lightroom - featuring David Hockney, Moonwalker, and Vogue - as well as the spectacular Shaun the Sheep's Circus. It's set to be a busy and exciting period, filled with creativity, performance, and festive spirit.
We're looking for enthusiastic and reliable Christmas Temporary Baristas / Café Team Members to help us deliver outstanding service throughout this magical time of year.
The Role
As a Christmas Temp Team Member, you'll help create a warm, welcoming, and festive experience for every visitor. You'll prepare and serve quality coffee and food, support the café team, and ensure everything runs smoothly during this vibrant events season.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and festive beverages to specialty standards
* Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient customer service
* Operate tills and handle payments accurately
* Support with food preparation, presentation, and stock rotation
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following food hygiene standards
* Assist with restocking, cleaning, and setting up seasonal displays
* Work collaboratively as part of a fast-paced team
* Uphold the welcoming and creative ethos of Aviva Studios
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* Passionate about great coffee and excellent hospitality
* Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
* Experienced in a barista or café role (6 months+ preferred)
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
* Flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and event days over the festive period
* Friendly, approachable, and able to bring festive cheer to our guests
* Committed to high standards of cleanliness and safety
* Must be available on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day
