The Role:
As a Private Client Solicitor, you’ll handle a varied and high-quality caseload, including wills, trusts, probate, lasting powers of attorney, and estate planning. You will have the chance to engage with a wide range of clients, from individuals and families to high-net-worth individuals, benefiting from both existing client relationships and the high volume of new enquiries the firm attracts.
In addition to managing your caseload, you’ll play a key role in mentoring junior fee earners, contributing to their development and the overall success of the team. This position offers a clear pathway for growth, with leadership and partnership opportunities available as the department continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing a broad caseload of private client matters, including complex wills, probate, and estate planning
* Building strong relationships with both existing clients and new enquiries to grow the department further
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
* Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives to attract and retain clients
* Playing a key role in achieving the firm’s ambitious growth objectives over the next five years
Requirements:
* 3-6 years PQE in private client law, with experience managing a diverse caseload
* Strong technical knowledge in wills, trusts, probate, and inheritance tax planning
* A commercial mindset with the ability to identify and act on growth opportunities
* Excellent interpersonal and client care skills, with a proactive approach to relationship management
* Experience mentoring junior team members is highly desirable
* Ambition and drive to progress within a firm that prioritises career development, with partnership opportunities at 8+ PQE
