Our Emergency Lighting manufacturing business unit is hiring a Global Commodity Manager to head its procurement, cost management, compliance, and logistics strategy. In close collaboration with our manufacturing units, you will be steering our global strategy and coordinating its implementation to achieve business targets. Reporting to the Global Operations Manager, Emergency Lighting, you will drive excellence in the execution of procurement and logistics strategies that aid the business by optimizing costs, quality and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. You will take care of the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of procurement & logistics activities, applying and implementing standards, tools, and processes to ensure good quality, on-time delivery, optimal costs, and sustainability. This position can be based in Canada, France, UK, or Germany. This position reports to Global Operations Manager, Emergency Lighting Your responsibilities Defining and owning global cost management strategies by liaising with local procurement teams and optimizing global synergies. Influencing and coaching local procurement teams to increase collaboration and overall performance of the function. Implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business & category, regional/global Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) strategies to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements. Optimizing global tools and processes including process optimization and standardization to ensure Procurement activities are meeting objectives and expectations. Owning KPIs to drive performance improvement including planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost, budgets, emerging country sourcing spending, savings forecasts, business continuity strategies, and contractual requirements. Executing effective and transparent communication internally, externally and between different units and centers to drive cross-functional collaboration. Your background Minimum of 10 years of experience in management & strategic / technical purchasing in a manufacturing environment. Experience in a technical or industrial global matrix environment is a plus. Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or other relevant coursework. ISM or CPSM certification is a plus. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & SAP. Knowledge of AS-400 MRP systems is a plus. Demonstrated influence skills, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach. High comfort level in leading change in a fast-paced environment and ability to meet multiple deadlines. Availability to travel. Strong written and spoken communication skills, in English and either French or German languages based on country of application.
