We are seeking compassionate and dynamic Behavioural Teaching Assistants to join our team across various Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a highly rewarding environment where every day offers new challenges - and new chances to change lives.
🔍 About the Role:
Support students aged 11-16 with social, emotional and behavioural needs
Work one-to-one and in small groups, under the direction of teaching and pastoral staff
Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Support the delivery of tailored learning plans and behaviour strategies
Use restorative approaches and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviour
✅ About You:
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, behavioural needs, or in alternative education settings (preferred)
Calm, confident, and patient - even under pressure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine commitment to helping young people re-engage with education
Team player with a proactive and positive approach
🎓 Qualifications:
Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
Team Teach or equivalent behaviour management training (advantageous)
DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
