Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Overview
My client is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support the introduction of new and existing products from concept through to full‑scale production. This is a hands‑on role focused on delivering robust, efficient manufacturing solutions using lean principles in a high‑precision engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end‑to‑end manufacturing process development from design through production
* Create detailed manufacturing documentation, setup packs, SOPs and tooling logs
* Generate offline CNC programs for milling and turning (3-, 4- and 5‑axis)
* Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and machine prove‑out activities
* Drive continuous improvement, waste reduction and process optimisation
* Contribute to quality activities including PFMEA and non‑conformance resolution
* Design and specify tooling and fixtures to enhance machining capability
* Lead technical discussions with customers and suppliers
Key Requirements
* HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
* Strong CNC machining background with online and offline programming
* Proven experience with 3-, 4- and 5‑axis milling and turning
* Solid understanding of ISO9001 and AS9100 standards
* Experience with APQP, PFMEA and NPI projects
* Competent in CAD/CAM systems; ability to adapt to different platforms
* Knowledge of tooling, fixturing, inspection techniques and a range of metals
