We’re currently partnering with a fast-growing energy and e-mobility business to appoint an experienced Field Service Engineer working across EV charging infrastructure, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Solar PV assets.
This is a field-based role covering multiple sites, well suited to an electrically biased engineer who enjoys autonomy, variety, and hands-on work with a broad range of technologies within the renewables and clean energy sector.
Our client is keen to engage with engineers who have a strong electrical background and demonstrable experience working on complex, live environments. You’ll be confident in fault-finding, commissioning, and maintaining assets, while consistently representing the business in a professional manner on customer sites.
Candidates must have:
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
* City & Guilds Level 3 – 2365
* Prior experience working across a wide range of electrical assets
* Experience in at least one of the following sectors:
* EV charging infrastructure
* Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
* Solar PV
* A full UK driving license
* The ability to work independently in a field-based environment
The role will involve
* Installation, commissioning, servicing, and fault diagnosis of EV, BESS, and Solar assets
* Planned preventative and reactive maintenance
* Electrical testing, inspection, and certification where required
* Completing service reports, RAMS, and job documentation
* Liaising with clients, site teams, and internal operations
* Ensuring all works are carried out in line with BS 7671, H&S regulations, and company procedures
