Job Description
Phillips Grant Associates are supporting an accountancy practice based near Borehamwood to recruit for a Junior Accountant. To apply for this position, you will need to have prior experience within an accountancy practice and be studying towards your professional qualification ACCA or ACA.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Support: Assist in preparing draft accounts, management accounts, and KPIs for diverse SME clients.
Bookkeeping: Handle data entry, reconciliations, and maintain accurate financial records.
Compliance: Ensure clients comply with HMRC and Companies House regulations, including preparing and submitting CT600s and VAT returns.
Client Interaction: Attend client meetings, respond to queries, and provide high-quality support.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior accountants and team members, sharing knowledge and supporting projects.
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and career prospects.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in an accounting practice with a strong grasp of accounting principles.
Education: Currently studying towards either ACCA or ACA qualification. Study support will be provided.
Skills:
Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Good organisational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
