Title: Street Cleaning Operative

We have a permanent Street Cleaning Operative position to join our team in Sheffield. You will work a 6 days on, 3 days off rota. The standard hours of work are 40 hours per week (7am - 4:30pm). This position offers a competitive salary and overtime.
Your role supports the Sheffield account as a Street Cleaning Operative, handling all street cleaning tasks including scheduled and reactive works, litter bin emptying, fly-tip and graffiti removal, and litter bin installation.
Your work helps keep Sheffield clean and attractive, enhancing residents’ quality of life by maintaining litter-free and graffiti-free streets and public spaces. You will uphold Amey’s values and commitment to excellent customer service, contributing to the company’s reputation within the community.
What You’ll Do
* Undertake all aspects of street cleaning, including scheduled and reactive works, litter bin emptying, fly-tip removal, graffiti removal, and litter bin installation.
* Perform cleaning duties safely and to a high standard, in line with Amey’s values, and assist in providing a 7-day service which may include weekends and bank holidays.
* Drive or operate necessary vehicles and equipment, complete safety checks, carry out maintenance, and report defects as required.
* Report and record the status of street cleaning tasks using handheld electronic devices, and liaise with the public, team members, managers, and sub-contractors professionally.
* Attend project and work briefings, take responsibility for the safety of team members and the public, and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
* Assist with other contract areas such as winter and grounds maintenance, and undertake other tasks as required.
What You’ll Bring
