Job Purpose
Provides engineering solutions as part of a SSE project taskforce, in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures, processes, schedules, and budget, with a continuous concern for quality, targets, and customer satisfaction.
Job Description
1. Works independently on standard projects as a reference and participates in more complex projects under supervision of more senior engineers
2. Performing calculations such as: static structural, dropped object/impact, normal modes, buckling, weld/bolt strength calculations
3. Developing and validating simulation models using industry-standard FEA/CAE tools
(such as: Ansys Mechanical, LS-DYNA, SDC Verifier, PVP, and internal tools)
4. Performing hand calculations and running sensitivity studies for different geometries and load combinations
5. Performing studies of piping, beam, subsea structures, and frames
6. Interpreting analysis results, and providing design recommendations
7. Compiling feedback presentations and technical reports
8. Cooperating globally with members from cross-functional teams to consult and resolve design challenges.
9. Mentoring and support to less experienced engineers
10. Relating engineering solutions to cost and time.
Our Requirements
11. MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Machine Design, Civil and Structural Engineering or a related discipline
12. Minimum 2 years of experience
13. Proficiency working with ANSYS Mechanical
14. Good knowledge of material strength, free-body diagrams, and mechanics.
15. Attention to detail and thoroughness.
16. Strong technical skills in engineering
17. Project management skills
18. Presentation and some coaching skills
19. Good communication skills, team-player spirit, and a can-do attitude.
20. Good organizational and problem-solving skills
21. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
22. Good command of English
Optional (as an asset):
23. Scripting capabilities (e.g. Python, VBA)
24. Experience in APDL
25. Experience in ANSA/HyperMesh
26. Experience in PVP Checker, SDC Verifier
