The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week). Part-time hours will be pro-rated accordingly.

Hourly rate of pay: £24.24 - £27.07

Candidates will be assessed on the basis of appropriate relevant experience and qualifications and salary placed within the advertised scale.

Days and Hours of Work:
Working 4 days a week.
Days of working is negotiable, flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible.

East Lothian, Health & Social Care Partnership are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Social Work practitioner. This role reports to and works alongside our governance and quality assurance manager within adult social work services.
\n
You will contribute to the professional development of adult social work services and be an effective member of a forward thinking service, providing a responsive and needs led service.
\n
You will be responsible for supporting social work governance and assurance of key processes and in particular quality assurance of social work practice, collating findings and generating reports. Experience of participating in monitoring and evaluation of service delivery is essential. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, national standards, policies and guidance is also essential as it relates to self directed support and adult protection. You will also provide advice and information to service users and groups about other services available and participate in the development of new policies and procedures.

Working closely with the Quality Assurance and Governance manager the Service Improvement Officer will focus on the development and implementation of key processes and procedures across Adult Social Work Services. Focusing on Adult Support and Protection, data analysis, performance and quality assurance the Service Improvement Officer will also support East Lothian Health Social Care Partnership’s, Adult Support and Protection Improvement plan whilst engaging with various professional partners, staff and service users to gather feedback ensuring Adult Social Work Services continue to meet the National Health and Wellbeing Outcomes

Job Requirements
Education/Qualifications
Essential: Approved qualification in Social Work.
Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
Those with international Social Work qualifications should not apply unless they are fully registered with the SSSC.
Desirable: Post qualifying award

Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle*

PVG Membership
This post is considered as a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.
