Senior Accounts Receivable Administrator
Remote (UK) with weekly Head Office visit in Gloucestershire

About the role
We are recruiting on behalf of a large, national organisation for an experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Administrator to join their finance team. This is a key role supporting the Financial Operations Manager, focusing on invoicing, credit control, customer account management, and cashflow reporting. You'll work collaboratively across finance, business development, and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate income collection. The role is predominantly home-based, with a weekly visit to Head Office in Gloucestershire and occasional travel to other sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Raise accurate sales invoices and maintain client sales ledger records
* Monitor, reconcile, and allocate payments received
* Proactively manage credit control and outstanding balances
* Manage a shared accounts receivable inbox and resolve customer queries
* Prepare cash collection and cashflow reports
* Maintain internal databases and client templates
* Assist with bank reconciliations
* Build effective working relationships with internal teams and external bodies (e.g. local authorities)
* Support process improvements and system efficiencies
* Provide guidance and informal supervision to junior finance team members
Skills, Experience & Attributes
* Proven experience in Accounts Receivable / Credit Control
* Previous experience working within a finance team
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
* Strong Excel skills, comfortable working with large data sets
* Ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously
* Flexible, adaptable, and proactive "can-do" approach
* GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent)
Additional Requirements
* Ability to handle confidential information professionally
* Confidence using Excel to manipulate data and improve reporting
* Interest in process improvement and team development
