This service plays a crucial role in Enfield's Early Help strategy by enhancing resilience and housing stability through collaboration with partners. The Homeless Families & Singles team offers expert guidance and works in partnership to prevent or delay homelessness, aiming to reduce reliance on temporary accommodations or prevent street homelessness. The Homeless Housing Coordinator will be part of either the Families or Singles Team, collaborating with courts, solicitors, and Enfield’s legal department to avert homelessness. Responsibilities: Provide expert advice on preventing and delaying homelessness. Collaborate with partners to enhance housing resilience and sustainment. Work closely with courts, solicitors, and Enfield’s legal department. Assist individuals and families in maintaining or securing suitable housing. Implement strategies to reduce reliance on temporary accommodations. Requirements Expert knowledge of welfare, the Homelessness Reduction Act, and housing policies. Familiarity with case law, legislation, and practices related to homelessness. Understanding of courts, possession orders, and eviction processes. Specialist knowledge in homelessness decision-making. Awareness of safeguarding practices for vulnerable adults and children.
