Client\n\n Local Authority in Croydon\n\nJob Title\n\n Heating Systems Contract Manager\n\nPay Rate\n\n £500 DAILY UMBRELLA\n\nHours\n\n 36 Hours a week(Mon-Fri)\n\nDuration\n\n Initial 3 month contract up until 19th December 2025\n\nLocation\n\n HYBRID WORKING-3 DAYS A WEEK OFFICE BASED/SITE VISITS CROYDON\n\nDescription\n\n UK DRIVING LICENSE AND OWN VEHICLE IS ESSENTIAL\n\nRole Purpose:\n\nThe Heating Systems Contracts Manager is responsible for managing heating system compliance, including domestic and commercial gas, renewable energy systems which include ground and air source heat pumps, heat interface units, heat recovery units. This role will also be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of all heating systems, including delivery of the capital renewal programmes and act the subject matter expert across the housing directorate. \nThis role involves negotiating contract terms, managing vendor relationships, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.\nAs Heating Systems Contract Manager, you will ensure legal and regulatory compliance with relevant legislation, providing a compliance-first and customer-first culture.
You will work with contractors, manage risk, and deliver high-quality services that protect residents and assets.\nDeputise for the Head of Compliance and carry out other duties as required.Key Accountabilities:\n\nThis will involve:\n\n· Act as the technical subject matter expert across housing on all heating systems\n\n·Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation - Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.\n\n·Oversee the delivery of inspections, servicing, and remedials on all heating systems.\n\n·Ensure all heating system and renewable energy projects comply with relevant laws, safety standards, and environmental regulations.\n\n·Identify potential risks in contract execution and develop strategies to mitigate them.\n\n·Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to contract terms and safety protocols.\n\n Essential knowledge:\n\n· Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations \n Mechanical asset lifecycle management\n\nDesirable:\n\n· Heating systems, including domestic, commercial systems and alternative energy systems and heat networks.\n\n· Strong leadership and communication\n\n· Customer engagement and complaint resolution\n\n· Risk and performance management\n\n· Behavioural change and cultural leadership\n\n· Able to undertake site visits, inspections, and incident investigations across all assets\n\n· Willing to participate in emergency call-outs or out-of-hours response.\n\n· Senior leadership in gas safety, mechanical systems\n\n· Contractor procurement and management\n\n· Resident-focused service delivery\n\nDesirable:\n\n· Social housing or public sector experience \n Budget management experience\n\nAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
