Production Manager (Tilbury, Essex)
An opportunity has arisen for a Production Manager at our Tilbury, Essex site. The Production Manager will provide leadership of the site operation’s team to achieve a safe, efficient flour milling operation to meet the requirements of the business.
Your Responsibilities
* Effectively manage the Milling Operation from wheat intake to finished product while implementing manufacturing excellence.
* Lead the site operations team to achieve an efficient & effective, integrated milling and warehouse operation, meeting all manufacturing performance standards in terms of output, quality & yield, consistent with corporate and regulatory requirements.
* Lead a Safety focussed team and ensure effective implementation of all Safety, Health, Environmental and Food safety requirements directly related to the overall operation.
* Effectively assist with the management of the integrity of site operational assets to ensure they are able to operate in a safe, efficient manner in line with the business requirements.
* Drive operational improvements, Performance Excellence and energy reduction initiatives.
* Effectively manage and control production costs.
* Ensure Customer service level targets are achieved.
* Liaise with other business functions to ensure the supply chain operates efficiently.
Your Profile
* Ideally educated to HND/degree level in a Production, Manufacturing or Engineering discipline or the ability to operate at this level.
* Experience in food manufacturing, or continuous process industries.
* Project management experience preferred.
* Knowledge of H&S, process safety and engineering processes.
* Food safety and Quality understanding, with HACCP level 3 or higher (or working towards).
