Activate Learning is hiring a full-time, permanent Facilities & Maintenance Officer to ensure the Oxford campus remains safe, clean, and secure. Responsibilities include general maintenance, event setup, security checks, and support for campus operations, with some on-call and weekend duties. The Facilities & Maintenance Officer will carry out a variety of tasks, including unlocking and securing buildings, general maintenance (repairs, painting, decorating), setting up events, moving furniture, and supporting campus activities. Youll also monitor site security, respond to helpdesk requests, maintain external areas, and manage waste and recycling. Key Facilities & Maintenance Officer responsibilities include: Daily maintenance and estates support Health & safety and compliance checks Grounds upkeep and weather-related clearing On-call duties every fourth week Occasional overtime and weekend work Cross-campus support as needed This is a varied and hands-on role ideal for someone proactive and reliable, with a flexible approach to facilities work. What do you need to be a successful Facilities & Maintenance Officer at Activate Learning? The ideal Facilities & Maintenance Officer candidate will be a proactive, solutions-focused individual with a strong team ethic and a customer-first approach to facilities support. You will be capable of performing routine maintenance, ensuring health and safety compliance, and responding swiftly to on-site issues. A flexible, hands-on attitude, along with a willingness to develop professionally and engage in ongoing training, is essential.
