We are working with a well-established and successful manufacturer of high-quality windows and doors, known for their, innovation and dedication to customer satisfaction. Due to continued growth and investment they are now seeking a Production Manager to lead and optimise their manufacturing facility in Bedfordshire.
As Production Manager, you will oversee a team of + fabricators in a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are maintained at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily production operations, managing workflow and team performance.
2. Implement and drive Lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes and reduce waste.
3. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency, output, and quality.
4. Set, monitor, and report on KPIs and production targets.
5. Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality standards, and operational procedures.
6. Collaborate closely with senior management, design, and logistics teams.
7. Mentor and develop production staff to maintain high morale and performance.
Required Skillset
8. Proven experience in a similar Production Manager role within the window and door manufacturing industry is essential.
9. Strong knowledge of Lean methodology, 5S, and other efficiency tools.
10. Demonstrated success in implementing continuous improvement processes.
11. Ability to set, track, and analyse KPIs and performance metrics.
12. Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
13. Confident decision-maker with a hands-on approach and attention to detail.
