Are you a certified MOT Tester looking for a role where you can truly "own" the bay? We are a premier, long-standing independent specialist garage based in the Faversham/Ashford area. We are seeking a dedicated Sole MOT Tester to lead our testing operations and join our high-performing workshop team.
While your primary focus will be keeping our customers safe and legal, you'll also lend your expertise to vehicle servicing and mechanical repairs during quieter periods. This is the perfect balance for an Automotive Technician who values the precision of DVSA testing but still enjoys hands-on vehicle maintenance.

The Role
As our Lead MOT Tester, you will be the backbone of our compliance and safety standards. You will work on a diverse fleet, from premium German marques to motorhomes, horseboxes, and light commercials (LCV).
Key Responsibilities:
* Testing: Conducting Class 4 & 7 MOT tests to strict DVSA standards.
* Service & Repair: Performing routine car servicing, brake repairs, and suspension work.
* Diagnostics: Using modern diagnostic software to identify and resolve mechanical faults.
* Specialist Work: Assisting with safety inspections for motorhomes and commercial vehicles.
* Bay Management: Maintaining a clean, organized, and DVSA-compliant MOT bay.
What You Bring
* Certifications: A valid DVSA MOT Testing License (Class 4 & 7) is essential.
* Experience: Proven track record as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic (3+ years preferred).
* Skills: Strong mechanical knowledge and proficiency with power tools and diagnostic equipment.
* Expertise: Experience with Mercedes-Benz, VAG, or Commercial Vehicles is a major plus.
* Essentials: A Full UK Driving Licence and a professional, team-focused approach.
