Teaching Assistant (TA2) – Behaviour Support (Year 4)
Location: Bispham
Start Date: After the Easter break (April 2026)
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Salary: Competitive – dependent on experience. £14.20 per hour.
Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint an experienced TA2 to support a child in Year 4 with challenging behaviour at a well-regarded primary school in Bispham. This is a rewarding, full-time role beginning immediately after the Easter holidays.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
* Provide consistent 1:1 support to a child with behavioural needs
* Use de-escalation and behaviour management strategies effectively
* Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo and wider support team
* Assist with emotional regulation and engagement with learning
* Help create a calm, structured and positive environment
* Follow individual behaviour plans and contribute to ongoing reviews

Applicants should have:
* Proven experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
* Strong resilience, patience and confidence in behaviour management
* A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
* A calm, consistent and empathetic approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
