This is a key role to ensure we continue to run a compliant and safe production site (covering cheese and whey production areas), acting as a champion for all matters of quality and food safety in an autonomous environment.
Working within a team, you will have the opportunity to continue learning and developing your knowledge of the plant and processes to ensure compliance, deliver audits, and act as a facilitator between operations and the on-site and external labs.
This role is an initial 3-month fixed term contract (FTC) with a potential for extension.
Due to the remote location, you must have a valid UK driver license and own transportation to get to site.
Working shift:
3-on/3-off days & nights 7-7
YOULL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY
Ensuring GMP and internal audits are conducted throughout the site, striving for daily improvements and engaging all teams and departments, with non-compliance corrected with the relevant teams
Conducting incoming and outgoing checks to goods and materials to ensure compliance
Quarantining and rejecting (when applicable) packaging, raw materials, and final product
Driving front line foreign body identification and investigation, ensuring collaboration with the relevant department teams
Completing reporting and sending these to relevant bodies through multiple portals
Checking CCPs, labelling etc. to ensure quality and food safety compliance
Completing environmental sampling as per schedule
Conducting hygiene assessments
Registering QA samples to internal and external laboratories
Verifying operator checks where required and participating in laboratory proficiency testing
YOURE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE
Experienced with QA/auditing responsibilities and requirements within an FMCG production environment
Able to demonstrate an understanding of HACCP
A hands-on individual, with an eye for detail and ability to influence the actions of others
Able to demonstrate experience working with data, reports, and different systems
