About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Secondary School Teaching Assistant to join a valued team. This role is vital in supporting both teachers and students to create a positive and productive learning environment. You will work within classrooms and occasionally with smaller groups, providing focused support to students who may face challenges in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
* Assisting small groups of students to enhance their learning and confidence.
* Managing and responding to challenging behaviour with patience, consistency, and understanding.
* Building positive relationships with students to support their emotional and academic development.
* Helping create a safe and supportive school environment where every child can thrive.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience or understanding of working with children in a school setting, especially in managing challenging behaviour.
* A genuine passion for making a positive impact on young people’s lives.
* Patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* A real understanding of how to best support children’s learning and wellbeing.
