About The Role
The Information Security Analyst is responsible for supporting a robust information security program to safeguard FDM data, systems, and infrastructure. This role involves analyzing and responding to cybersecurity alerts, tuning systems for continuous improvement, administering security systems to ensure controls are relevant to business needs, and contributing to security improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to maintaining Cyber Essentials Plus certification and achieving and maintaining ISO 27001.
2. Monitor alerting systems and ensure responses meet the defined service level agreements.
3. Run security awareness campaigns, including phishing simulations.
4. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
5. Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate security measures into system designs and business processes.
6. Review and test backups across different scenarios.
7. Maintain the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of all systems by becoming an expert in our technological systems.
8. Stay updated on the latest cyber threats, security technologies, and industry best practices.
9. Contribute to and take ownership of initiatives for continuous improvement across FDM's operations.
10. Support the compliance, privacy, vulnerability, and security pillars of the GRC team.
11. Act as the main administrator and subject matter expert for Microsoft Purview, managing its configuration and optimization.
12. Support the implementation and monitoring of data retention policies aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
13. Assist in executing e-discovery and data subject access requests (DSARs), working closely with legal and compliance teams.
About You
Qualifications:
1. Formal education in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Professional certifications from ISC2, ISACA, COMPTIA, or others are a plus.
3. Proven experience in information security enforcement and compliance support.
4. Understanding of security frameworks and regulatory requirements.
5. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
