A welcoming Specialist School in Swindon is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to join their team ASAP and work as a Learning Support Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with children who have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Autism, Speech and Language Needs, Sensory Processing Difficulties, Physical Disabilities and Communication Needs.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
* Help students overcome emotional, behavioural and learning barriers.
* Apply psychological theory and behaviour strategies in the classroom.
* Create a safe, engaging and positive learning environment.
* Work alongside Teachers, Therapists and SEN professionals.
* Gain safeguarding training and support the school’s fully integrated therapy programme.
Qualifications and Attributes
* Psychology Graduate.
* Motivated, friendly, proactive and enthusiastic.
* Previous experience working with children desirable but not essential.
* Resilience and a positive can‑do attitude.
Job Details
* Location: Swindon.
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
* Start date: ASAP.
