Band 6 CYP MH Front Door Clinician

Our Front Door is a new, unique and exciting service development that is at the very beginning of a young person's journey in seeking support. You will be undertaking triage, delivering initial assessments to families and young people referred to our service, engaging with them creatively (through consultations or brief interventions as appropriate) to plan the support they need as well as liaising with the system around the family to ensure that there is a holistic approach.
Main duties of the job
To complete first line triage to determine need including risk and urgency of care, then sign post to the most appropriate service.
To assess the current mental health need of children and young people referred to CYPMH using appropriate means including face to face in clinic or home visits.
To identify areas of need for children and their families and to assist their being able to access appropriate services.
To develop and utilise specialist knowledge about working with children and their families.
To work as part of a team to coordinate the delivery of care.
Ensure that any plans and recommendations have taken into account the views of the child and carers.
To undertake risk assessment and risk management for young children and their parents/carers.
Qualifications
* Registered with a governing Body
Experience
* Worked in Mental Health services
* Worked with Children and Young People
* Managing Risk and Safety Planning

* Drives own vehicle with full driving licence
